Summary

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Company. In this position, you will be responsible for providing continuous improvement support and strategic decision-making across the AMG V facilities. By leveraging data analytics, process improvement tools, and lean management principles, you will drive initiatives that enhance safety, quality, throughput, and financial performance.

Responsible and Duties:

  • Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements and Company policies and procedures, including AMG�s Code of Business Conduct.
  • Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMG�s Values.
  • Track and monitor internal production, quality, and cost data to ensure compliance with targets.
  • Standardize operational best practices related to throughput and quality.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for both operational and transactional challenges.
  • Build dashboards or other visual tools to highlight business KPIs and performance trends.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, and DMAIC projects to drive measurable process improvements.
  • Maintain a project pipeline and provide feedback on improvement initiatives to demonstrate business impact.
  • Develop standardized reporting templates and measurement systems to ensure data integrity across departments.
  • Manage a material balance system to track inventory flow, quantify process variances, and support loss reduction initiatives across all stages of production."
  • Act as an interdepartmental liaison to connect key personnel to drive strategic decision making.
  • Audit quality, shipping, and production processes to verify consistency and validity of execution.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor�s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies; Green Belt required.
  • Experience in operations and process improvement in a manufacturing, metals, or recycling industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
