Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Pediatric Dentist will provide quality dental care by diagnosing, treating, preventing, and educating the patient on oral hygiene while creating a positive, child-friendly dental experience.  Perform full scope of pediatric dentistry both in a clinic setting and hospital setting.

POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Render professional medical services as a Pediatric Dentist to Employer's patients within the privileged scope of service as directed;
  • Render all services in a professional manner and in compliance with accepted medical standards;
  • Comply with all department policies and protocols, all applicable staff policies, bylaws, rules and regulations and all policies, rules of conduct, and conditions of employment for employees of Employer;
  • Timely completion of health records and reports, completion of time records, and such other duties as are necessary to meet the patient care obligations of Employer;
  • Promote delivery of consistent standards of care;
  • Be available to staff for explanation or resolution of problems, concerns or conflicts in patient management, as necessary;
  • Foster goodwill and outstanding reputation for excellence of medical services and medical care provided by Employer;
  • Participate in at least one approved Community Engagement activity every 6 months.
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines to identify and implement opportunities to enhance patient and family satisfaction;
  • Assist in compliance with all laws and standards of local, state, and federal agencies and certifying bodies, including The Joint Commission;
  • Participate in quality improvement activities as necessary;
  • Work collaboratively with dental leadership to maintain smooth patient flow with high customer satisfaction;
  • Participate in activities necessary to promote the Employer to consumers, payors and partners;
  • Support the Mission, Vision and Values of Employer;
  • Such other duties and responsibilities reasonably incident to Employee's practice of the specialty of dentistry; and such other duties required or assigned by Employer.
