About you
You’re a senior engineering leader who can build and scale teams, guide technical strategy, and keep products stable while driving change. You’re confident leading managers and large, distributed teams across time zones. You’re comfortable with a mix of technologies (.NET, Ruby, PHP, Salesforce) and you know how to move legacy products to modern SaaS (software as a service) platforms. You lead by example on AI (artificial intelligence) adoption and you connect engineering decisions to customer outcomes, especially for the ANZ market.
Day‑to‑day, you will:
- Build and scale our KL GOC engineering hub: hire and onboard new talent, and lead 2–3 Software Engineering Managers and their AI‑augmented squads (around 60–70 engineers) across .NET, Ruby, PHP, and Salesforce.
- Own the technical strategy and architecture for Accountant products: migrate legacy desktop apps to modern .NET SaaS, define integration strategies for mixed systems, and keep 99.9% uptime with zero critical production issues.
- Champion AI‑assisted development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Devin/agent‑based coding) to reach 100% adoption and deliver clear productivity gains across all teams.
- Partner with Product and ANZ/UK stakeholders to deliver the roadmap on time, manage costs through efficient KL operations, and maintain strong customer satisfaction.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
- Deep experience with the Microsoft stack (.NET, SQL, Azure), plus at least one of Java, React Native, or Angular; exposure to Salesforce, Ruby on Rails, or PHP is a plus.
- Strong background in cloud‑native, distributed systems, secure integrations, and performance at scale, with experience designing for high availability.
- Proven leadership of large, distributed organisations (40+ people), including team transitions, remote onboarding, and change management (M&A or integration is a plus).
- Understanding of B2B SaaS and the ANZ accounting market; Azure expertise with some AWS exposure is helpful.
