Job Description

Cost Analyst

Job profile

Responsible for cost accounting, including the preparation of statistical data and financial reports concerning standard cost build-up and variance analysis, inventory and cost accounting.

Responsabilities

  • Responsible to assure month-end inventory is properly recorded

  • Prepare account reconciliations and process resulting paperwork

  • Develop manufacturing cost standards annually

  • Update process narratives and procedures as changes occur

  • Monitor inventory reporting and associated costs

  • Monitor the manufacturing process and associated costs

  • Participate in process improvement teams

  • Document cost reduction report and create overview and supplementary reports

  • Evaluate/implement ideas for continuous improvement

  • Responsible for annual physical inventory and any interim physicals conducted

  • Transfer/Selling Price Estimate for small engineering change, sourcing change including any cost impact analysis

Requirenments

  • Min Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 2–4 years of experience in cost accounting or controlling, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis

  • Experience with month‑end close activities related to costs and inventory

  • Good command of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP FI/CO preferred)

  • Ability to prepare cost reports and cost impact analyses (engineering / sourcing changes)

  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to support cost‑reduction and process improvement initiatives

  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams
