Job Description

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Regional nfection Preventionist Nurse is to plan, implement and evaluate infection prevention and control measures across all locations of the company. 

Essential Duties:

  • Monitor and investigate known or suspected sources of infections in order to determine the source and ensure control
  • Review, analyze, and implement regulations, standards, and/or guidelines of applicable governmental agencies and professional organizations
  • Collaborate in the development and delivery of educational programs and/or tools that relate to infection prevention, control, and epidemiology
  • Report infection surveillance, prevention and control in formation to local, state and federal public health authorities in accordance with law and regulation

 Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Long Term Care, specifically as an Infection Preventionist, preferred. 
  • Must be a Registered Nurse, with a license in good standing in the state of IL. 
  • Infection Control credentials highly preferred.
