Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is currently seeking a Development Coordinator to join our team! The Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the fundraising efforts of The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy & Foundation.
Rate of Pay: $15.75 - $17.75
The purpose of the job is:
- To support fundraising efforts (including major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns) for The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy and The Good Samaritan Home Foundation in accordance with the Home’s current Gift Acceptance Policy and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern nonprofit organizations.

Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of the donor database including data entry, coding, and constituent records.
- Process gifts accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding, receipting, and IRS-compliant acknowledgments.
- Generate reports for leadership and the Board.
- Reconcile Gifts records monthly with the Accounting Department.
- Assist in the implementation of the annual fund, including direct mail appeals, digital campaigns, and other fundraising efforts.
- Assist with the logistics for fundraising and cultivation events.
- Manage event invitations, RSVPs, vendor relations, sponsorship, auction items and post event follow-ups.
- Represent the organization at community functions and networking events.
- Maintain a grants calendar and track application deadlines, reporting requirements, and documentation.
- Assist with research, writing, editing and submissions of grant proposals.
- Coordinate internal employee events including documentation and photos.
- Draft donor communication including thank-you letters, newsletters, social media content, and website updates.
- Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as requested.
- Perform other duties as required or directed by Administration.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or senior services strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A person who genuinely enjoys people and will be able to socialize in all donor settings.
- Computer skills including word processing, design and publications, spread sheets, word press, social media, graphic design.
