Job Purpose:
The Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and customization of PolicyCenter platform, which is essential for managing the end-to-end policy lifecycle, including quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, and endorsements. This position is responsible for configuring and enhancing the PolicyCenter application to ensure it meets the business needs, aligns with industry regulations, and integrates seamlessly with other core systems within the organization.

Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses
MUST have Guidewire Cloud Certified Associate Developer, Guidewire Cloud Certified Integration Specialist, GW Cloud certification
Experience
5 to 12 years of related experience
Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge in Guidewire Policy Center Configuration and Integration
Hands-on experience in working on GW Integration Gateway Frameworks, knowledge of common integration design patterns used by Policy Center, including the typical internal and external systems that are common
Expertise in GW Rating and Admin management
Hands-on experience in working on one programming language (JAVA or Python)
Work with digital product team and subject matter experts to design and develop approach for the configuration, effort estimation and build of design documents
Codes all the time and loves it. Design, develop, configure and unit test Guidewire Policy Center enhancements and defects
Contribute to future Guidewire development as a key member of the development team
Experience in the Canadian Personal Line Insurance industry domain
Help with production support for the platform by analyzing logs and identifying potential problems and defects, and root cause analysis of problems for the highly available business solution
