SUMMARY



Plan, design, and integrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment into the manufacturing process and assist in ongoing improvement directly and indirectly related to the manufacturing process.



 



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS         



Include, but are not limited to, the following:



 




  • Research and analyze methods required to manufacture product to the customers' requirements and specifications.  

  • Aid in the design of tooling, jigs, fixtures, dies, and support equipment required to manufacture product to customer requirements and specifications.

  • Provide sketches prints or drawings to design department required to produce tooling, jigs, fixtures, dies, and support equipment needed by tool production department.

  • Assist supervisors and operators on improving quality and process capabilities of product.

  • Liaison with maintenance for new installations, modification and major trouble shooting difficulties.

  • Research and analyze methods of reducing time and material cost required to manufacture products.   

  • Implement cost reduction programs mandated by customers and or management.

  • Obtain quotations on equipment, machinery and apparatus required for process improvements and enhancements.

  • Provide information for written detailed instructions to document control or current processes.

  • All other duties as assigned.
