Job Description

JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours), 12 months, Non-Union position

LOCATION: Marshall, MN


Coordinate the housing construction projects as a Housing Construction Coordinator! Want to help participants received improvements to their homes? Join our team as a Housing Construction Coordinator and create real change! With hands-on training and certifications, this role lets you grow your skills while helping your community.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Inspect & Assess Homes: Visit participant homes to identify construction needs and ensure work meets program guidelines and regulations.

• Manage Housing Projects: Develop scopes of work, coordinate bidding, and oversee housing rehabilitation projects from start to finish.

Monitor Construction Work: Conduct inspections to ensure quality, timely completion, and contractor compliance.

Support the Participants:
Guide households through construction and financing processes while addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

Track & Report Progress: Maintain documentation, monitor budgets and timelines, and submit required reports.



SKILLS TO WOW US:
Housing & construction knowledge: Familiarity with housing conditions, construction practices, and building codes.

Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with homeowners, contractors, and community partners.

Technology skills: Comfortable completing basic computer tasks and learning new systems.

Organizational skills: Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and stay detail-focused 

Project oversight: Ability to oversee construction projects and ensure bid and project requirements are met.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: One (1) to two (2) years of post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum: Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
