TITLE: Women’s Health or Family Nurse Practitioner
HOURS: Per Diem $60 per hour
PROGRAM: Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, willing to travel to Cape Cod & Islands
DUTIES: Under the supervision of Sexual and Reproductive Health Services Medical Director, and guided by evidence-based protocols and federal and state contract requirements, the Nurse Practitioner will provide sexual and reproductive health care to adults and adolescents.
Duties include:
- Assess medical histories
- Perform physical examinations with special emphasis on sexual and reproductive systems
- Perform lab procedures, diagnostic testing, and follow up for abnormal lab results
- Prescribe birth control methods including IUDs and implants
- Provide cancer screening testing
- Provide STI testing, diagnosis and treatment
- Provide HIV PrEP and nPEP
- Provide gender affirming hormone therapy treatment
- Work as part of a care team model, collaborating with staff and management to provide client-centered care
REQUIREMENTS: Women’s Health or Family NP. At least three years providing reproductive and sexual health services. Licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Passion for sexual and reproductive health. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse team and patients. Excellent interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Credentialed with Massachusetts Health Insurers. Current registration with Massachusetts Controlled Substance and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency. Experience in behavioral health.
