    Disclaimer: All dates of operation, modes of delivery, and program implementation are subject to change as per guidance from the SCDE and BCSD officials. This is a temporary position.

    Pay rate: Daily rate based on years of experience per the teacher salary scale

    Education and Experience: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology of associated designation (e.g., Communication Disorders) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) accredited university; ASHA CCC's or CF licensure; passed Praxis Exam in Speech-Language Pathology; 

    Requires a valid South Carolina teaching certificate in Speech-Language Pathology; Must possess valid South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (LLR) license in Speech-Language Pathology;

    Temporary Employee Application Requirements

    • Negative TB test results under 1 year old.  BCSD strongly encourages all applicants to upload their TB test results.  If the applicant has not completed the test, he/she will be required to upload a word document acknowledging that the results will be uploaded as soon as the test is completed.  Please Note: A delay in submitting TB test results will postpone the onboarding process. (If selected for a position)  A new test is not required if currently a Berkeley County School District employee.
