Job Description

Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland is seeking a highly organized, self-directed professional to support and advance our funding efforts through strong execution and follow-through.

This is a hands-on role focused on managing and moving funding opportunities forward-from identification through submission and follow-up. You will prioritize opportunities, determine next steps, and ensure consistent progress across a full funding pipeline.

If you enjoy staying organized, managing multiple priorities, and getting work across the finish line, this could be a great fit.

Your work will directly support opportunities that impact girls and communities across our region.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and move a pipeline of funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships
  • Prioritize opportunities, determine next steps, and ensure consistent progress toward submission
  • Write and submit grant proposals with consistency and attention to detail
  • Interpret funding requirements and help position programs and proposals for success
  • Track deadlines, requirements, and next steps across multiple projects
  • Follow up and take action to ensure opportunities continue progressing
  • Work across teams to gather information needed for strong submissions
  • Maintain accurate tracking in systems such as Monday.com or CRM tools

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting or leading grant writing or proposal development
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities at once
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience using tracking systems or tools (CRM, project management platforms, etc.)

What Makes This Role Unique

  • You'll take ownership of work that directly supports funding and expands opportunities for girls in our communities
  • You'll play a key role in ensuring opportunities do not stall or fall through the cracks
  • You'll work across teams and gain visibility into multiple areas of the organization
  • You'll build valuable experience in fund development and nonprofit operations

Applicants must reside in the council jurisdiction due to the need to travel and meet with community members and funders.
