Summary Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician and/or Nurse Practitioner by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Interviews clients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for interviews with clients.
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
• Gives injections as appropriate by education, training or experience under the approval of the medical practitioner.
• Performs secretarial tasks, completes insurance forms, prior authorizations, and other necessary paperwork.
• Other duties may be assigned.
