Will assist licensed Respiratory Therapist by providing the most basic respiratory therapy treatments and procedures, including administration of aerosolized medications, Incentive Spirometry, Cough exercise, CPT and assists with oxygen therapy administration and transport. Will learn and follow policy and procedures of the department and hospital.

Position will continue in Assistant capacity after graduation of Respiratory Care School, until board exam is passed and Respiratory Therapy Practitioner licensure is attained.

Education:

Attending an approved school for Respiratory therapy.

Experience:

At least second year of RT Training

Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards.

Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

Licenses/Certificates:

Up to date BLS, ACLS.
