Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

 

  • Communicate with the Calender Operator to find out the plc settings for the mill or winder
  • Prepare and start up the Extruder, Mill, and assist with threading the line
  • Refeed rolls as instructed by the calendar operator
  • Follow all relevant policies and procedures (Safety, 5S, and ARC policies)
  • Provide instruction for co-workers in the correct operation of the extruder and mill
  • Properly conduct quality tests and ensure proper use of quality equipment
  • Keep the calendar operator informed if any of the quality tests are out of specification
  • Prepare all packaging materials for the orders according to the packaging instructions in CoAgo
  • Package finished rolls at the Winder according to CoAgo packaging instructions
  • Correctly enter QC and production data into CoAgo
  • Properly label and record scrap and refeed rolls
  • Keep work area(s) orderly and clean according to 5s standards
  • Take care of the edge trims as well as any scrap rolls in the winder area
  • If the line is down clean the mill and winder area as well as the extruder hopper or hoppers

 

 

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High School diploma/General Equivalency diploma preferred

  • Ability to work a 12 hour shift

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds regularly
