role in ensuring structural integrity and quality compliance throughout
fabrication and assembly operations by conducting dimensional verification,
in-process inspections, and structural quality validation per AWS D1.1 and applicable
engineering specifications.
Requirements
Essential Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing
• Execute Ultrasonic Shear Wave (UT) and Magnetic
Particle (MT) examinations following written procedures, applicable codes, and
industry standards
• Perform in-process and final inspections on structural
weldments, assemblies, and subcomponents to verify compliance with design
specifications and engineering drawings
• Conduct dimensional layout inspections using precision
measurement tools to verify critical dimensions, fit-ups, and tolerances
• Inspect incoming materials for compliance with purchase
orders, Material Test Reports (MTRs), and applicable standards; identify and
document nonconformances
Documentation & Quality Systems
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, weld
symbols, and manufacturing blueprints to ensure conformance throughout
fabrication and assembly processes
• Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, NDT
records, and traceability documentation in accordance with quality system
requirements
• Support development and maintenance of inspection
procedures, calibration records, and NDT equipment verification per ASNT
standards and internal quality control programs
Communication & Continuous Improvement
• Communicate inspection results and quality concerns
clearly and effectively to production, engineering, and management teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by
identifying recurring quality issues and recommending corrective actions
