What You'll Work On
The Predictive Maintenance Engineering Tech leads and coordinates PDM Tech maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. The role focuses on troubleshooting equipment issues, preventing recurrence, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve performance. This position directly affects plant productivity, product quality, and regulatory compliance, including equipment change control.
The Predictive Maintenance Engineering Tech is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and providing services for the plant's predictive maintenance program (PDM program). The PDM program is focused on identifying equipment problems through a variety of testing methods, then recommending necessary corrective actions and appropriate follow-up testing and monitoring. The Predictive Maintenance Engineering Tech will also evaluate all plant systems for inclusion in the PDM program. The current methods in use are vibrational analysis, infrared temperature scanning and imaging, and ultrasonic/acoustic monitoring.
- Ensure all EHS and quality standards are adhered to.
- Develop and help to lead the strategy around PDM and deployment across the site.
- Heavy focus on analytics from testing and monitoring.
- Recommendations around new tools and technologies that can improve the impact of the PDM team.
- Collect PDM data on a regular basis (varies depending on equipment, system, and testing type.
- Build, populate, and maintain equipment database related to PDM tech activities.
- Determine appropriate monitoring methodologies and frequencies: create/maintain PM documentation.
- Evaluate plant equipment and systems for inclusion in the PDM program.
- Perform mechanical tasks in connection with PDM activities and testing.
- Perform planning activities associated with PDM activities. (Define PM routes and job plans)
- Prepare and distribute reports and presentations to plant stakeholders on a regular basis
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment reliability issues as they arise.
- Participate in cross-functional problems solving exercises (RCA’s, LSS projects, training)
- Train and develop new PDM technicians.
- Routinely analyze equipment problems, evaluate repair alternatives, and decide on appropriate courses of action.
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-5 years of experience in maintenance related field
- Technical diploma
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong technical and leadership skills
- Electrical or engineering technology preferred
Specific (PdM, vibration analysis) technical degree/certificates preferred

The base pay for this position is
