Position: Lead Billing Liaison

Location: St. John Outpatient Center, St. John, IN 46373

Job Summary:

Under the direction of Management, educates and supports patient accounting department with solution-oriented approaches to ensure highest patient satisfaction. Communicates with physician practice staff to resolve patient issues and concerns.  Provides support to EPIC Support Specialists to ensure efficient and effective revenue cycle management processes are practiced. Coordinates billing office and physician practice efforts to resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances. Oversees and facilitates partnership with ESS lead on changes and updates to insurance information and workflows. Takes a lead role to organize and communicate across departments from patient accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate information is relayed, received, and put into practice. Participates in and completes additional projects as assigned. 

 

Education/ Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.


• 1-2 years patient registration experience required. Physician practice setting preferred.

• 2-3 years professional/hospital billing experience required.


• Fundamental knowledge of medical terminology and CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding systems.


• Comprehensive knowledge of standard, compliant insurance processing guidelines.

• Practice management and billing software user experience: Epic a plus.


• Computer savvy and Microsoft office proficient. 


• Display attention to detail and problem solving skills.

Able to effectively and diplomatically teach others.
