Job Description:

Behavioral Pediatrics of Rural Georgia provides medical diagnosis and management of autism spectrum disorder, complex ADHD, tic disorders, picky eating, and anxiety disorders. We are adding a third physician assistant to help meet the overwhelming demand for our services. We will provide intensive mentorship and training. Our innovative practice environment will provide opportunities for advocacy, collaboration, and research. Our facilities include a large playroom for play-based assessments. We sit at the intersection of pediatrics, psychiatry, and neurology. Join us in changing lives across South Georgia. We serve children and families from over 80 counties. Our physician-led team includes a mental health counselor, physician assistants, chronic care managers, an ABA clinic and DFCS liason. Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with diagnosing and managing autism spectrum disorder, complex ADHD, tic disorders, anxiety disorders and ARFID using a combination of telemedicine and in-person visits.
  • Teach parents effective behavioral interventions for common problem behaviors using our 10-lesson series. Parent coaching visits are telephone or video chat.
  • Assist parents in advocating for appropriate educational services.
  • Collaborate with DFCS, therapists, educators, and primary care providers.
  • Reflect our core values of helping children meet their potential while meeting families where they are.

Requirements:

  • Active Physician Assistant License or eligible for a GA PA license
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Interest in pediatric mental and behavioral health
  • Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills

Job Type:

  • Full-time, no nights, weekends or holidays.

Pay:

  • Starting hourly range $55-$60 an hour depending on experience
