Requirements
We're looking for a senior SEO leader who runs agentic workflows every day to do real SEO and marketing work. Not someone who occasionally pastes prompts into a chat window. We need a Claude Code expert who is already shipping automations that the rest of the team can use. Old-school SEO playbooks won't cut it here.
Non-Negotiables
You build and run AI agents to do the work: research, audits, content, internal linking, reporting, outreach, competitive intel, you name it.
You can show real examples of agentic workflows you've built and the results they drove.
You're a Claude Code expert. That means daily hands-on use, including subagents, MCP servers, hooks, slash commands, and custom skills. If you've only heard of Claude Code, this isn't the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution
Build and run advanced SEO strategies with a heavy focus on AI search.
Use agentic workflows to react to algorithm updates faster than the competition can read about them.
Own strategy and execution for high-value enterprise accounts.
Build competitive analysis frameworks powered by agents, not spreadsheets.
AI Search Leadership
Develop strategies for Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, and LLM-driven discovery (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini).
Use Claude Code (and similar tools) to automate SEO workflows from data pull to deliverable. This is required, not a nice-to-have.
Maintain a library of agents, MCP integrations, and skills the team uses every day.
Lead entity SEO, knowledge graph optimization, and semantic search work.
Stay ahead of what's happening in AI search and get new approaches into client work in days, not quarters.
Client Leadership
Join client calls with the Customer Success team to walk through strategy and performance.
Help C-suite executives understand what agentic AI actually changes about search and marketing.
Build trust in an agent-first approach by delivering results.
People Leadership
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 3–5+ SEOs.
Train the team to think and work agentically. Not just "use ChatGPT," but design and supervise agents that ship real work.
Set the bar for Claude Code adoption across the team and retire outdated tactics.
Thought Leadership
Contribute to internal and external thought leadership on agentic AI in search and marketing.
Help evolve our methodologies as the space changes (which is constantly).
Required Skills & Experience
SEO & Technical Expertise
Expert-level technical SEO: crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data, log file analysis.
Daily, demonstrable experience building agentic workflows with Claude Code.
Strong grasp of how modern AI search actually works (LLMs, agents, MCP, vector databases, RAG, semantic search).
Proven enterprise SEO experience at scale.
AI Tools & Platforms (Required)
Claude Code: subagents, MCP servers, hooks, slash commands, skills, headless mode, and the Agent SDK.
Agentic AI: real experience designing multi-step, tool-using agents that complete work end-to-end.
Comfortable using Claude, ChatGPT, and similar tools to think through hard problems.
Able to ship Python or JavaScript with the help of agentic coding tools.
Analytics: GA4, GSC API, BigQuery. Bonus points if you've automated reporting with agents.
Leadership & Communication
Experience managing SEO teams of 3–5+.
Strong client-facing presentation skills.
Able to explain complex AI and agentic concepts so a non-technical exec gets it.
Comfortable in front of executive stakeholders.
