As a Visiting Fellow, your primary responsibilities will include participation in clinical research projects within the Department of Surgery - Colorectal, increasing your level of responsibility as you gain experience in clinical research methodologies. You may spend time observing in the lab as well. You are welcome to attend teaching rounds and the various conferences associated with the Department of Surgery. You will have the opportunity to observe some day to day operations with each of these services but your duties would not include direct patient care responsibilities. These may change over time at the discretion of
your supervisor, Dr. Seth Rosen, Associate Professor of Colorectal Surgery.
As a Visiting Fellow, you will be eligible for J-1 visa sponsorship from Emory University. An H-1B visa, or other visas requiring fees to be paid by the department, will not be offered at this time as the Visiting Fellow role is not an elgible title outside of the J-1 visa category.
