This role is responsible for processing applications, maintaining provider files, and supporting onboarding and compliance tracking. This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of credentialing and administrative processes under the direction of the Medical Staff Services Manager. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications for medical staff and allied health professionals. Maintain complete, accurate, and organized provider credentialing files. Track and monitor expirable (licenses, certifications, insurance, etc.) and follow up with providers for timely updates. Communicate with providers to obtain required documentation and ensure applications are complete and submitted within established timelines. Distribute and track privileging applications; review supporting documentation, including case logs, to confirm completeness and alignment with established privilege criteria, and escalate any discrepancies as appropriate; ensure receipt of all required documentation, including proof of professional liability insurance Coordinate orientation logistics. Lead provider and medical student orientation. Prepare credentialing and committee meeting materials and files. Assist with processing hospital and affiliation agreements. Enter and maintain data in credentialing software and internal tracking systems. Perform general administrative support tasks for Medical Staff Services. Maintain strict confidentiality of all provider and organizational information. Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Staff Services Manager. Qualifications Qualifications: Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or equivalent. Licenses/ certifications/ registrations Required: None. Preferred: Certification through NAMSS (e.g., CPCS, CPMSM) or willingness to obtain. Notary Public is a plus. Experience Required: 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare administrative environment Experience working with physicians or healthcare providers Experience with databases and standard office software Preferred: Previous credentialing or medical staff services experience Familiarity with DNV and/or CMS requirements Other: NA Physical Requirements: The physical and sensory functions described below are essential to the successful performance of this position.
