Job Overview

The IIOT Software & Hardware Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales efforts, generating leads, and managing customer relationships to grow Corvalent’s IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) business. The IIOT software sales focus is on Smart Building and Smart City applications.

 This role involves proactive outreach, strategic planning, and technical engagement with potential customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Generation:

  • Make 80-120 calls per week to potential customers.
  • Research and add 5-15 new accounts and 5-75 new target contacts into the CRM.
  • Identify key contacts within accounts, ensuring five contacts per account are documented.
  • Conduct 2-5 SaaS software demos per month.
  • Present 1-3 IIOT SaaS proposals/pricing per month.
  • Engage with 5-20 live contacts per week and send 25-50+ outreach emails.
  • Dedicate 5-7 hours per week to direct customer interactions (calls, meetings, Zoom/Teams).

Customer & Account Management:

  • Develop a strategic understanding of IIOT industry sectors and align Corvalent’s offerings with customer needs.
  • Identify customer pain points and demonstrate how Corvalent’s CorGrid and CorMonitor solutions address them.
  • Manage opportunities through the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to project completion.
  • Take full ownership of assigned projects with a "no-excuse" success mindset.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships, strategizing 1-3 year business plans for key customers.

Operational & Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM.
  • Conduct follow-ups on leads and ensure seamless post-sale project management.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, strategy discussions, and coaching sessions.
  • Continuously expand industry knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Represent Corvalent professionally, delivering a compelling "elevator pitch" about the company and its solutions.
  • Within 30 days, memorize qualifying questions to effectively assess customer needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in sales or call center roles.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, Hubspot/Teams/Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Sales Abilities: High-level customer engagement, lead generation, and strategic sales planning.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to set priorities, manage time effectively, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Personal Traits: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable in a structured corporate environment.
  • Licensing: Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License.
