Position Purpose

Qualified applicants are sought for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Biology. 

Location

This is an on-campus position requiring a presence in Lebanon, TN during the fall and spring semesters.

Knowledge, Skills     And Abilities

• Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate classes in Biology, academic advising, continuous course and program level assessment, committee work, and other related duties as assigned.
• Excellent written and oral communication and the willingness and ability to work collaboratively with others are required.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, engagement in scholarship, and commitment to university service are highly desirable.
• Relevant knowledge that ranges from Principles of Biology to upper division courses including Human Anatomy and Physiology, Botany, Zoology, and/or Microbiology.

Experience

Prior college-level teaching experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Education

Ph.D. in Biology, preference given to those with graduate coursework in other sciences as well.
