Engineer to work on Roadway Construction Inspection projects in Staten Island, NY and Brooklyn NY.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
Essential
functions of the Office Engineer position include the review of inspector’s
daily reports for accuracy, the preparation and maintenance of monthly estimate
and material certification books using CEES or other applicable software, the
preparation of change orders as needed, monitoring of the budget and schedule,
submittal tracking, maintenance of project files and documentation, and the
preparation of meeting minutes and job-related correspondence. The Office
Engineer will work under the Resident Engineer’s guidance and ensure successful
execution, completion, and close-out of the project, as well as perform all
other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of directly relevant experience.
· Familiarity with the preparation of daily
reports in accordance with the NYC DDC PIMS;
· Previous NYCDDC experience and knowledge of
specifications and standards are preferred;
· Must be detail oriented, and have the ability to
communicate effectively both orally and in writing
· NICET III/IV, ACI, EIT and OSHA -10 preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid NICET Level IV or IV Certification;
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or an acceptable field;
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience; NYCDDC experience required;
- Ability to review Inspector’s Daily Reports for
accuracy of various work elements on projects involving highways and bridges; - Familiarity with the PIMS and Computerized Engineers Estimate System (CEES and
APPIA); - must also have NYCDDC record keeping experience;
