Job Description
You will be the Senior Software Engineer for the team which is responsible for the development and delivery of software models with the ability to make independent and solid decisions during the software development process.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of high‑quality software solutions in a lab environment. You will mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ship reliable, scalable, and high‑performing products.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications
• Experience with Vim, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CMake/Make
• Strong SQL skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Hands on experience with unit, integration, and end to end testing
• Expertise in Git workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
• Experience with, GitLab CI, or similar pipeline tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey technical concepts to non technical audiences

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
