Job Description:


Nahant Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to provide services to students in PreK–Grade 6 at Johnson Elementary School. This is a contractual position with flexible scheduling, ideal for a skilled and collaborative OT who is passionate about supporting student access and independence in an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):




  • Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs




  • Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports




  • Present results and recommendations at IEP meetings




  • Provide direct OT services as outlined in student IEPs




  • Consult with educators, families, and staff to support student progress




  • Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and strategies




  • Supervise a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)




  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress




  • Participate in team meetings and professional development




  • Support school-based initiatives as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent






Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy




  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Occupational Therapist




  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred




  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills




  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
