Athletic Facility/Equipment Manager


Title: Athletic Facility/Equipment Manager


Qualifications:  A high school diploma; although a bachelor’s degree is preferred.


Reports To:  Athletic Director


Job Goal:  To oversee and maintain all athletic facilities, grounds and equipment utilized in the district’s athletic program.


Mission and Goals



  • Works with the Athletic Director and Superintendent to articulate and promote the school system's vision of learning and teaching.

  • Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of system goals and objectives.

  • Ensures that program plans are consistent with the system's strategic plan.

  • Organizes daily, monthly, and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools.


Management of Educational Resources



  • Administers the finances of the district with sound fiscal management.

  • Achieves maximum results for available resources and money spent.

  • Strives to meet the needs of the school district.


General Responsibilities



  • Inspects athletic facilities and grounds to ensure general cleanliness and to make sure they are cleaned before and after athletic events.

  • Keeps athletic facilities free of litter and trash.

  • Prepares maintenance requests for repairs as needed.

  • Washes and dries athletic clothing and returns it to a designated area for each sport.

  • Maintains the football equipment room and inventory.

  • Maintains the practice football field and track facility.

  • Works designated athletic events. Sets up and removes equipment and secures the facility.

  • Cleans a specified area of the athletic facility.

  • Performs others tasks as assigned by the Superintendent, the Deputy Superintendent, and the Superintendent's designee


Terms of Employment: Ten, eleven, or twelve months. Salary and work year will be established by the Board.


Evaluation: Performance of tills job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
