Job requirements
You have extensive experience in digital integrated circuit design with a track record of delivering first-time-right tapeouts.
You have led integrated circuit design projects and excel in both technical leadership and people management.
You’re comfortable researching new topics, thinking outside the box, and working with cross disciplinary teams to find novel solutions.
You’re a strategic thinker who is keen to contribute to guiding Diraq’s technical development.
You’re an excellent communicator, able to translate and explain technical concepts to colleagues with varying fields of expertise.
You’re proficient with industry standard EDA tools, scripting languages, version control, and Linux OS.
You have a quality mindset with experience in design for test, silicon test strategies and robust documentation
Ideally you would have experience with ultra-low power implementations and cryogenic circuit operation.
You’re excited by quantum computing and want to grow your career in a cutting-edge startup.
Job responsibilities
Lead the architecture, specification, design, and simulation of digital integrated circuit components for quantum processors.
Work with IC Design, Systems, and Quantum Measurement teams to co-design low-power logic functions.
Lead the development of IP blocks and/or entire ICs within a growing IC development team.
Deliver high‑quality RTL for one or more critical subsystems.
Plan for testing and verification, and work with test engineers to execute test plans.
Consult with other technical teams and strategic stakeholders to set development goals and requirements, and contribute to creating and maintaining project plans.
Communicate the design, function, requirements, and constraints of integrated circuits to the broader organisation.
Mentor junior and senior engineers in IC design.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and commercial teams.
Assist in setup and maintenance of EDA tools for digital design workflows.
