About the Role
The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports the day-to-day operations of our compounding pharmacy, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence in service. This role involves assisting with the preparation of compounded and non-sterile medications, and/or medication dispensing functions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Additional duties include managing inventory and providing operational support to pharmacists.
Your Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations
- Accurately prepare and package medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process prescriptions and refill requests using pharmacy management software
- Manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
- Support front of house functions, including patient communication and prescription pickup coordination
- Maintain proper storage of medications and supplies
Compounding & Compliance
- Assist with non-sterile compounding following USP / guidelines
- Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and lot tracking
- Uphold cleanroom and safety standards
- Support future expansion into sterile compounding USP / if applicable
Documentation & Technology
- Operate and maintain pharmacy software systems (eg: Pharmetika)
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all prescriptions, formulations, and communications
- Comply with HIPAA, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
Collaboration
- Work closely with pharmacists, medical staff, and wellness teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Provide friendly, professional support to patients and internal team members
- Contribute to Eden’s high-touch, elevated customer experience
