Merrymeeting Community and Adult Education strives to promote high-quality  and affordable educational experiences in areas of interest to the residents in the communities we serve. Our purpose is to provide information and content of interest to people who wish to learn.

Merrymeeting Adult Education is seeking a CNA Instructor to join our vibrant Adult Education community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

 

JOB DUTIES:
Provides teaching instruction to CNA students following all state and local guidance.

• Responsible for 130 hours of CNA training & instruction: Theory 70 hours, Skills Laboratory 20 hours, Clinical 40 hours.


• Teach 1 to 3 cohorts per year, depending on need.


• Maintaining accurate student skills sheets, immunization and attendance records.


• Uphold all Merrymeeting Adult Education policies on attendance and student performance.


• Interview students prior to class start to determine acceptance. 

PAY RATE: $35.00/hour

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid State of Maine RN License.


• Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.


• Minimum of two years of RN experience with at least one year in a long-term care facility.


• State approved "Train the Trainer" course or coursework in teaching adults.


• Experience supervision nurse aids preferred.


• Successful applications must be approved for this position by the State of Maine, Division of Licensing and Certification prior to start date.
