Job Description
Individual & Family Services (IFS) manages over 700 inquiries for help each month and 30+ groups per week.
The Senior Manager of Couples and Partners Services serves as the clinical lead for AANE’s neurodiverse couples and partners programming and professional development initiatives.
This role is responsible for the clinical oversight of AANE’s therapist and coach training programs, ensures compliance with continuing education requirements, develops and leads professional training and couples and partners workshops, builds relationships with clinical organizations, and advances AANE’s thought leadership in the neurodiverse couples space.
The Senior Manager of Couples and Partners Services provides direct services to neurodiverse couples and partners through support group facilitation, couples coaching, workshop facilitation, email inquiries, and information and resource consultations, ensuring all programming aligns with AANE’s neurodiversity affirming values.
Below is a breakdown of how responsibilities are to be divided. These percentages are to be discussed between the employee and their manager to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and departmental needs. Percentages may shift as programming evolves.
Programmatic and Clinical Leadership Responsibilities (40–50% of hours)
Strategic Integration and Operational Alignment
Collaborate with additional stakeholders such as leadership, marketing, training, and operations to ensure alignment of couples and partners programming with organizational priorities
Partner across teams to guide program direction, content development priorities, platform alignment, and expansion planning
Coordinate with administrative staff to support registration systems, continuing education documentation, data management, reporting, and participant communication
Contribute to budget planning, revenue monitoring, and long term sustainability of couples and professional education initiatives
Provide occasional leadership support related to clinical, operational, or technical issues that impact program delivery
CE Oversight
Serve as the clinical lead for AANE’s neurodiverse couples professional education pathway
Provide clinical oversight for continuing education programming for therapists and coaches
Ensure all CE programming aligns with ASWB, APA, and other relevant accrediting standards
Maintain responsibility for clinical integrity, ethical alignment, and quality standards across couples and partners professional initiatives
Monitor changes in CE regulations and professional standards and adjust programming accordingly
Support compliance and documentation processes in coordination with relevant internal partners
Live Instruction and Curriculum Development
Teach Certification 201, a live, virtual, comprehensive 8-week course for therapists, and other assigned training programs related to couples and partners programming
Foster and maintain professional networks and continued learning for course participants
Use Learning Management Software to deliver training courses
Lead curriculum refinement and content updates based on evaluation data, participant feedback, and emerging best practices
Drive development of new programmatic offerings responsive to community need in collaboration with leadership and cross functional stakeholders
Develop and leads professional training and couples and partners workshops
Contribute to thoughtful expansion of AANE’s clinical education portfolio in alignment with mission and demand
Strategic Program Development and External Engagement
Strengthen and expand couples and partners programming across services
Build and maintain relationships with clinical organizations, group practices, professional networks, and strategic partners
Collaborate with marketing to support course sales, outreach strategy and professional engagement
Support research partnerships and scholarly collaborations in coordination with leadership
Represent AANE in professional settings related to neurodiverse couples, clinical education, and relationship dynamics
Direct Client Service Responsibilities (10-15% of hours)
Maintain engagement in services through one or all of the following:
Facilitation of couples or partners support groups
Providing information and resource support to couples, partners and professionals
Consultative conversations with therapists and community professionals regarding neurodiverse couples practice
Supervisory Responsibilities (Approximately 10% of hours)
Supervision and support of one direct administrative report
Coordination with group facilitators
Selection and coordination of guest presenters and trainers
Provide internal consultation, guidance and expertise regarding neurodiverse couples and partners programming
Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and evaluation of facilitators or contractors related to couples and partners programming
Thought Leadership and Professional Engagement (5-10% of hours)
Stay current with literature, research, and developments related to neurodiverse couples and autism
Contribute to articles, podcasts, presentations, or professional publications
Represent AANE in external professional settings
Maintain positive relationships with trained professionals and alumni of AANE’s couples training programs
Support research partner relationships in coordination with leadership

Requirements
Active, independent clinical licensure required (LCSW or equivalent terminal licensure appropriate for continuing education delivery)
Minimum 3–5 years of post licensure clinical experience, including experience with neurodiverse couples or relationship dynamics
Experience developing and delivering professional continuing education programming
Experience teaching or facilitating adult learners
Deep understanding of autism and neurodiversity affirming practice
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Experience building professional partnerships preferred
Experience with virtual learning platforms and online program delivery
Some evening or weekend availability may be required.
