Overview Job Summary This role is part of the Cordis Leadership Development Program, the “Spark Program.” The Manager, Strategic Initiatives will lead and support enterprise-level strategic projects, partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive execution of Cordis’ most critical strategic and operational priorities. This role is designed for high-performing individuals with a strong foundation in strategy and program execution who are ready to take on increasing ownership and leadership responsibility. The Spark Program is designed to accelerate leadership development through 2–3 rotations over a 2–3-year period across functional, regional, and enterprise areas. At the end of the program we would expect graduates to take a functional or regional role within the business. During the duration of the program Cordis will offer mentorship with senior leaders, curated training programs, and dedicated forums and offsites for experience sharing within the program. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities Define the scope and roadmap for specific workstreams or projects; partnering with cross-functional teams and regions. Lead or co-lead key initiatives aligned to Cordis’ “Vital Few” strategic priorities. Support development and execution of governance processes to ensure visibility, alignment, and accountability. Work with stakeholders to help define functional 3–5 year strategic plans and key initiatives. Identify risks, support cross-functional problem-solving, and help drive resolution of roadblocks. Drive workstream execution, ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs and adherence to timelines. Develop business cases, analyses, and insights to support decision-making and value creation. Provide perspective on process improvements and areas of opportunity. Qualifications Expected Areas of Competence Strong project / program management skillset, including scoping, execution / tracking, metrics, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, and change management. Ability to independently own workstreams and deliver results in complex, cross-functional environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with ability to translate insights into action. Effective communication skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders. Ability to influence across functions and regions without direct authority. Exceptional teaming & collaboration skills. High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education / Experience 4–8 years of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy; OR 4–6 years of experience with an advanced degree. Strong technical education (i.e., operations, engineering, finance, etc.). BS, MBA or advanced degree a plus. Experience working on cross-functional or enterprise-level initiatives. Medical device or healthcare experience a plus.
