Cloud Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, India | Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

About This Role

The Cloud Engineer contributes to cloud products and system design, working with engineering teams to solve complex problems, lead innovative projects, and evangelize cloud engineering excellence across the organization. This role is experienced in one or more cloud-related engineering fields and actively works to mature cloud engineering practices across Hyland.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

  • Write code to solve moderately complex problems; contribute to logic, algorithms, and system design in alignment with established standards.
  • Build and implement a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) platform; implement solutions to automate the deployment of applications.
  • Implement monitoring and management tools and deployment processes to provide visibility with a focus on high availability.
  • Partner with respective departments to develop practical automation solutions and participate in cross-functional team meetings to collaborate and ensure successful execution.
  • Assist in new cloud technology research, proof of concepts (POCs), and innovation efforts across the department.
  • Maintain internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to an application and environment; support performance and test automation integration into the CI/CD pipeline.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or a related technical engineering field.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one cloud-related engineering field, with experience supporting cloud software in production environments used by customers.
  • Experience working with one or more public cloud providers and implementing CI/CD pipelines; experience with infrastructure as code deployments.
  • Experience with configuration management tools, DevOps and release management tools, and managing service container-based platforms.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, collaboration skills, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-native design principles and experience building systems that meet stringent quality, security, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Administration, scripting tools, and configuration and administration of enterprise web applications.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment SaaS environments.
  • Sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and a proven track record of continuous improvement.
  • Adeptness to effectively collaborate with employees, customers, and partners from diverse academic, professional, and cultural backgrounds.
