Position Summary:
The Food Production Associate is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position accurately, thoroughly, and safely while following all HACCP and GMP procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place meat products into the proper smokehouse.
- Maintain all required control, set points, and temperature per smokehouse.
- Correctly measure and place liquid smoke into the proper tank unit.
- Connect tank unit to correct smokehouse.
- Ensure Critical Control Points (CCPs) are met
- Complete all necessary record keeping to include HACCP and tracking tickets.
- Verification of time and temperature as needed for HACCP documents.
- Communicate with packaging associates as needed to provide notification of the cook cycle ending.
Education & Experience:
- Must be HACCP certified.
- Must follow all HACCP and GMP procedures.
- Power rider experience required.
- Self-starter capable of working on their own with limited supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 8 -9 hours a day.
- Must be able to work in 30-degree temperatures for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Must have good hand and eye coordination.
- Ability to work 40+ hours per week and overtime if necessary.
- Attention to detail.
Pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.
