About Cully
Cully is a consumer-focused bot that uses machine learning & messaging platforms to provide event recommendations in your local area. Acting as a blend between a concierge and your “cool” friend who always has his/her finger on the pulse, we want Cully to be a tool enabling users to break their routine, try new things and explore their local area.
We’re based in downtown Vancouver, BC, and Vancouver-metro area is our initial focus for Cully’s recommendations.
Cully is an early stage project, just starting to build momentum, with the first public prototype in place, and a set of high level objectives to meet by the end of 2017. Joining now will give you the opportunity to own large parts of the product and help set direction.
This will be a small, skunkworks styled team of 4-6 people, with a mandate to not only build a great Cully experience, but the flexibility to challenge orthodoxy and explore cutting edge technologies.
About You
You are a curious, intermediate to senior designer comfortable working with an integrated product team. Experienced in delivered high-quality, scalable web and mobile products, owning the process from conception to launch.
You’re a user champion, skilled at enabling the user to lead and define the product through direct research and an intimate knowledge of web/mobile design. You are able to present and get feedback from users, team members, partners and executives.
You are naturally at home working directly with a development team, able to predict the restrictions around requirements and deliver efficiently. Happy and comfortable working in an agile/iterative/continuous delivery environment.
Have your finger on the pulse of all things design, knowledgable about today’s best practices and the strengths/weaknesses of different approaches and tools.
You’re excited to enter an early-stage startup, where taking ownership, asking why and wearing other hats when needed are activities you enjoy.
