Job Description
:

We have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on a number of key projects for a client in the pharmaceutical sector in the region of Brussels.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.

 

 

:

This position is within the engineering department of our client (mainly Braine‑l’Alleud, occasionally Anderlecht).
High volume of small projects and modifications requested by production.
The consultant will work in tandem with an internal designer who will provide coaching and onboarding.
Environment: pharma / GMP, requiring strict compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce electrical schematics.
  • Prepare and validate electrical calculation notes (dimensioning, identifying inconsistencies, proposing solutions).
  • Update layouts, including:
    -electrical cabinets
    -electrical plans
    -GMP‑related plans
  • Analyze field data and propose 2–3 technical solutions based on constraints.
  • Perform occasional field checks when information is unclear.
  • Apply internal standards and GMP rules rigorously.

Requirements:

  • Strong, hands‑on electrical expertise (senior level; not junior).
  • Proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD (MicroStation used internally).
  • Solid understanding of:
    -dimensioning
    -cables
    -electrical protections
    -impacts and constraints in industrial environments
  • Experience in industrial settings (pharma preferred).
  • Ability to produce and justify technical recommendations.
  • Experience in GMP / pharmaceutical sector.
  • Knowledge of Caneco (BUT not sufficient alone without true expertise).
  • Multi‑disciplinary exposure (basic architecture plans, safety layouts, etc.).
  • Autonomous, analytical, able to work efficiently in 2D-only environments.
  • Strong understanding of technical impacts.
  • Rigorous, communicative, team‑oriented.
  • French fluency required.
  • English only acceptable if the candidate fully understands French.
