Job Description

CCLI is looking for a full time Counselor with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”



Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive supportive services to referred individuals by assessing their needs, and situations, offering emotional and practical support and coordinating services through collaboration with internal programs and external resources including facilitating connection to faith-based resources.
  • Complete functional assessments, psychosocial reports and progress notes.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between participants, family members, and service providers.
  • Meet the participant at their living space or in the community. Assist with scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and service visits as well as obtaining and maintaining benefits (Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP…)
  • Consult and/or meet with various professionals, agencies, organizations regarding the participant’s needs.
  • Track and update participant documentation.
  • Attend various staff meetings, education meetings/seminars to receive or provide information to other staff members and participant

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree – Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy;

         LMSW, LMHC or LMFT preferred.

  • At least 1-year prior experience in related program and/or field work in graduate school preferred. Experience working with participants in various and sometimes intense situations.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Bilingual capability (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Must be able to drive throughout Long Island to meeting sites using personal vehicle.

         Some participant meetings may occur during evenings or weekends.

 

Schedule:   Full time – 35 hours per week.



Rate of Pay: $65,000 annual gross non-bilingual; $65,000 - $75,000 annual gross bilingual.



This position is grant funded from 1/1/2026 through 12/31/26.

 

This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
