The Frymaster Summer Internship Program is designed to expose high-potential individuals to manufacturing systems and processes. Interns will be working alongside Frymaster employees on projects that will have a direct impact on the business. They will learn how to balance operational execution with strategic thinking and gain uniquely valuable experience in a discrete manufacturing environment while contributing to process improvements. Interns will be encouraged to identify opportunities for improvement and pitch ideas to address the problems they identify. Frymaster is committed to the professional development of students selected in the program.
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position is based in Shreveport, LA. This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work and reside in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin or Wyoming. Due to payroll, tax, and employment law requirements, applicants must be located in one of these states at time of hire.
Duties & Responsibilities
Interns will be assigned to teams working on specific projects based on experience, academic background, and professional goals/interests.
Teams:
- Manufacturing Engineering: Process flow, production parts picking/delivery/presentation, process mapping, time studies/line balancing, and shop floor layouts.
- Quality / Test Engineering: Electrical test equipment design, troubleshooting, calibration, non-conforming, inspection, auditing, and test processes.
- Product Design Engineering: Mechanical and electrical product design, Bill of Material validation, 3D modeling, prototype building, and testing.
