Job Description

The essential functions of this position are to check all equipment for damage and report any damage to the Store Manager.  The Wash Bay Attendant must keep the wash bay clean and organized and check all equipment fluid levels before returning the equipment to the yard.  

The qualifications for this position include a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months of experience operating light to heavy equipment.  The successful person in this position must understand operating directions for various cleaning equipment used in the wash bay and ensure that the equipment is in good working order and stays clean.  General knowledge and the ability to perform routine maintenance on various equipment are also essential for this position.  Safety is a key component, and the individual must understand and follow all safety requirements.  The equipment the position will use includes a pressure washer, grease gun, shop vacuum, glass cleaner, and degreaser.  

Preference will be given to those with valid driver's licenses and a driving record that meets company insurance standards while employed. 

The working conditions include standard business hours, Monday through Friday.  Some Saturdays, early and late work will be as needed.  This position is exposed to all weather conditions, including but not limited to water, dirt, grease, loud noise, and cleaning chemicals.  The company provides appropriate PPE.  The individual will need to be able to walk/stand 5-8 hours per day on a concrete floor and sit 1-3 hours.  The individual must grasp, pull, move repetitively, bend, squat, and climb ladders and equipment safely in the shop areas and the field.  The individual must also be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and comply with all company safety requirements, as well as wear all PPE when required.
