    Position: Building Secretary
    Starting pay: $$19.75-$24.750 dependent on education and experience.

    Reports To: Principal

    Qualifications: High Diploma or Equivelant 

    1. Knowledge of PC computers, software, word processor, and data base entry
    2. Proficient in use of office equipment such as copy machines, fax, telephone system, printers, computer, etc.
    3. Ability to work with people of various personality types.
    4. Ability to communicate clearly and positively throughout the day.
    5. Ability to learn new computer skills.
    6. Knowledge of filing, record keeping, bookkeeping and correspondence.
    7. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    8. Successfully pass District Blood Borne Pathogens and Sexual Harassment tests.
    9. Knowledge of Power School and district bookkeeping software.
    10. Ability to make decisions on procedures or when confronted with situation which require them.

    Job Summary: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office.  To assist the principal in the organization and operation of the day-to-day activities, while promoting an atmosphere conducive to the effective operation of a school.  To insure optimal services are made available to staff, students, and parents.  To provide confidential secretarial work requiring good judgment and discretion to ensure positive communication.
