Qualifications:

         Bachelor’s Degree


         Valid Arkansas State Certification (middle/secondary ELA)


 


 Yerger Middle School – ELA Teacher Expectations 



  1. Provide high-quality instruction in English Language Arts for students in grades 7–8, aligned with Arkansas teaching and learning standards and district curriculum expectations.


  2. Design and implement instructional plans that strengthen students’ reading, comprehension, grammar, and writing skills.


  3. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.


  4. Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior to ensure a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment.


  5. Use data to guide instruction and provide targeted support for student growth.


  6. Maintain consistent communication with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student progress and achievement.


  7. Engage in ongoing professional development, including participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and curriculum development opportunities.


  8. Maintain positive, collaborative, and professional working relationships with colleagues.
