Description

·         Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work to support aerospace manufacturing proposals.

·         Prepare clear and defensible Basis of Estimates (BOEs) that align with technical requirements and program objectives.

·         Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, finance, and program management to gather accurate cost inputs and validate assumptions.

·         Analyze historical data, production rates, and cost trends to support pricing accuracy and competitiveness.

·         Review supplier and subcontractor quotes for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with proposal requirements.

·         Build and maintain cost models, pricing templates, and estimating tools to support proposal development.

·         Support the creation of compliant cost volumes and pricing documentation for customer submissions.

·         Participate in internal reviews, fact-finding activities, and customer negotiations by providing cost rationale and supporting data.

·         Ensure all proposal cost elements are documented, traceable, and audit-ready.

·         Manage multiple proposals simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

·         Support leadership and sales teams in customer discussions with data-driven cost justifications.

·         Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, special processes, and customer requirements in all cost estimates.

Requirements

·         Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience in aerospace CNC machining/manufacturing.

·         3+ years of experience in cost estimating, pricing, or financial analysis – preferably in aerospace or defense.

·         Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, government contracting and cost accounting standards.

·         Knowledge of machining processes, aerospace materials, supply chain or engineering fundamentals

·         Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and estimating tools.

·         Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications, and skilled in Excel.

·         Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

·         Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

·         Aerospace or defense manufacturing background with exposure to special processes.

·         Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

·         Must possess US Citizenship
