Summary
The Network Security Engineer will be part of our Proactive team responsible for hands-on execution of alignment fixes, recurring maintenance, and proactive implementation work. They specialize in applying the best internal practices through scripting, automation, and repeatable processes, enabling TAMs to stay client-focused without compromising quality.
Job requirements
• 3+ year recent, relevant experience in an IT role providing environmental support/proactive remediations
• Working knowledge of systems hardware, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices
• Exchange / Office 365 Support and understand Active Directory
• Preferred certifications: A+, Network +, Windows Desktop
• Preferred work experience: Managed Service Provider or consulting environment
• Preferred systems experience: ConnectWise, Labtech, Cylance
• Strong critical and analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
• Comfortable multi-tasking
• Vibrant and willing to contribute to a fun atmosphere

Job responsibilities
A successful Network Security Engineer will be able to:• DNS), Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
• Disc space allocation, wireless access points, network performance monitoring systems, and system logs
• Network Firewalls (with specialization in SonicWALL)
• Layer 2/3 Switching and Wireless access points
• Core networking concepts including routing, VLANs, and ACLs
• Microsoft 365 tenants
• Exchange Online
• SharePoint Online
• Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
• Endpoint management via Microsoft Intune
• Mac OS X desktops/laptops
• Dell and HP servers/desktops/laptops
• Windows desktops/laptops (Windows 10 and 11)
• Servers (2012 and newer)
• Maintain and troubleshoot network servers, operating system software, routers, switches, Office 365
• Perform basic network to ensure systems are operational and running at peak performance
• Experience with security best practices and remediation
• Aid other team members and assist Professional Services engineers on projects as needed
• Complete small projects for clients
• Meticulously document client environments
