Overview
The Graphic Designer is responsible for leading the end-to-end creative process, from ideation to final execution, to produce and maintain high-quality graphic communications and visual materials that support DSS's brand and business objectives across both digital and print channels. This role encompasses a broad range of deliverables including brochures, one-sheets, white papers, long-form documents, e-mail templates, web graphics, event signage, trade show materials, sales decks, presentations, social media content, and video assets. The Graphic Designer demonstrates expertise in layout design, graphic image manipulation, infographic development, typography, and video production, seamlessly integrating these elements into cohesive and polished marketing materials. In addition to executing day-to-day creative needs, this individual proactively stays current on emerging design trends and tools, identifying opportunities to continuously elevate the quality, consistency, and impact of DSS's visual brand across all customer and stakeholder touchpoints. The Graphic Designer will work with the Marketing Director and Senior Communications Manager to produce on-brand marketing assets that support integrated campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and sales enablement across digital and print channels.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for:
Design and layout of brochures, one-sheets, and collateral materials that communicate complex federal health IT solutions clearly and concisely
Sophisticated typesetting and multi-page document layout for white papers, reports, program guides, and other long-form content
Executive-level presentation design in Microsoft PowerPoint for client-facing decks, conference materials, and internal communications
Design and production of HubSpot-ready e-mail templates, landing page graphics, web banners, and call-to-action assets
Large-format print design for trade show booth graphics, event signage, and branded promotional materials
Social media graphics and digital assets across platforms in support of campaign and content objectives
Video editing and production for LinkedIn video ads and posts, Demo on Demand projects, and other digital marketing needs, including adapting and customizing stock video templates to meet specific project and brand requirements
Design support for the FedHealth Forward thought leadership blog and content hub
Infographics and data visualizations that translate complex concepts into clear, accessible visual narratives
Logo development, iconography, and branded swag design as needed
Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaign assets with VISN-targeted visual content tailored to specific VA audiences and clinical personas
Works with the Event Specialist to:
Develop booth graphics, event signage, branded promotional materials, and presentation decks for federal health IT conferences including HIMSS, VACO summits, and industry trade shows
Design pre- and post-event digital assets for social media and email marketing campaigns
Works with the Marketing Automation Specialist to:
Produce and format HubSpot-ready creative assets including e-mail templates, landing page graphics, and digital campaign materials sized and optimized for platform delivery
Maintains and applies DSS brand guidelines consistently across all deliverables, ensuring visual integrity across the DSS Family of Brands including DSS, Inc., Juno Health, and SBG Technology Solutions.
Translate complex federal health IT concepts such as VistA modernization, FedRAMP, High Reliability Organizations, and clinical workflows into clean, accessible, and compelling visual narratives.
Takes ownership of the full creative lifecycle including intake and briefing, concepting and ideation, design and revision, stakeholder review management, final production, and asset delivery and archiving.
Maintains organized, consistently structured asset libraries across the G: drive and HubSpot including proper file naming, version control, and packaging of final deliverables.
Manages multiple concurrent projects with clear attention to deadlines, version control, and quality assurance.
Other Duties:
Builds and maintains a repository of brand-approved imagery, templates, and design assets.
Assists with the setup and maintenance of social media campaign creative.
Works collaboratively with team members to identify redesign opportunities and evolve design templates over time.
Attends department meetings as requested by manager.

Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.
