Product Marketing Manager - Industry

Summary
 

Sphera is taking a leadership position in priority industries and we are looking for an experience product marketer to help drive and accelerate our growth strategies for our ESG software and services for our priority industries. This role requires a blend of experiences including product marketing strategies, navigating ambiguity, ability to cross-collaborate with various teams, and deep understanding and knowledge of the sustainability and ESG markets.


You will have a full funnel perspective and will be part of a highly-visible product marketing team that is laser-focused on driving growth through powerful storytelling, thought leadership, effective go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns, and enablement of our revenue teams. Product marketing at Sphera is a highly cross-functional team where we partner very closely with product and engineering, sales, marketing, customer success, and leadership to name a few.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be at the centre of Sphera’s industry strategy, partnering with the go to market and revenue teams
  • Be the expert on the industry, ICP, buyer personas and the industry ecosystem for the priority industries and verticals.
  • Be able to speak the native language of that industry - know the industry jargon, abbreviations, and the way their business’s function.
  • Accountable to positioning and messaging to ensure it is targeted and relevant to the industry’s specific situation, pain points, and challenges and avoid missing the mark by either being vaguely horizontal or not speaking an industry's language.
  • well as always-on marketing plan and processes for priority industries including the introduction of new solutions – ensuring digital execution, field marketing coordination and channel/sales readiness – to deliver demand gen in the form of new pipe and helping to move opportunities to close. Develop the GTM and campaign strategies as
  • Level up sales through enablement and get them to deeply understand the targeted industries.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in software/service product marketing – preferably in relevant category (ESG) and relevant expertise in industry-focused marketing.
  • Able to create structure and definition around complex and/or ambiguous business problems.
  • Start up mentality with a bias towards action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced environment.
  • Command of best practices across messaging, GTM strategy, positioning and creating product marketing content and assets.
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, critical thinking, and business strategy skills.
  • Ability to engage with and earn the respect of product leaders, sales leaders, marketing leaders and other cross-functional counterparts.
  • Creative problem solver that can generate innovative marketing ideas and lead a cross-functional team of partners to drive execution.
