Summary
Role of a Loan Quality Control Specialist will have the responsibility at ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all consumer loan files.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensuring that all federal and state regulations are followed and that loan files are accurate and compliant with lending policies and procedures.
· Identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies within loan files, such as fraud or misrepresentation, and escalating them to management.
· Analyzing individual loan files to determine compliance with federal and state regulations as well as verifying signatures, all documentation and information within our host system for accuracy.
· Performs basic or complex post- closing reviews following Bank’s quality control guidelines for consumer purpose loans.
· Work with loan officers and processors to correct any deficiencies.
· Validating deficiencies are corrected.
· Write and update procedures for the loan quality control area.
· Back up for digital file management.
· High attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Review various reports such as new loan report.
· Research loans in DNA as needed.
· Work on special projects as necessary.
· Understand and support all BSA/AML responsibilities as applicable to the position as well as consistently, accurately, and timely carry out these responsibilities in compliance with the Bank’s internal policies
· Perform other related work and duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good understanding of financial institution products and services is essential.

Ability to operate a personal computer and job-related software. (Web-based systems, Word, Excel, Core Operating System DNA). Must be willing to learn new systems and not have any issues with emerging technology.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and release notes. Ability to write business correspondence, and policies using proper grammar and accurate spelling.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest, etc.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Organizational, priority setting, and decision- making skills are also required.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, telephones, etc.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
