About Skyfall
We're building something the enterprise world doesn't have yet: an Enterprise World Model.
While the rest of the field races to scale LLMs as the primary path to intelligence, we see a more principled opportunity in a hybrid architecture by combining the semantic richness of LLMs with the structural reasoning capabilities of world models. As such, we are developing Enterprise World Models (EWMs) that can understand, simulate, and act across complex enterprise systems.
This isn't our first time building something that matters. Skyfall was founded by the original Maluuba team, pioneers of the deep learning revolution, who worked closely with leaders such as Yoshua Bengio and Richard Sutton, before Maluuba’s $160M acquisition by Microsoft, where it became Microsoft’s AI research center in Canada. We've built companies before. We've made research breakthroughs before. Now we're doing it again, this time with a clear target: the next $5B enterprise AI company.

About the Role
Be the connective tissue that accelerates Skyfall’s momentum from day one.
As Chief of Staff, you will work alongside the CEO in San Francisco as a true force multiplier, ensuring the CEO operates at maximum impact while the company scales at speed. This is a high-leverage role for someone who has navigated the intensity of early-stage growth before and knows how to keep a rocket ship on course while it's still being built.
You'll sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution. One day you are meeting with investors, the next you're driving a cross-functional initiative or helping the CEO cut through the noise and focus on what matters most. You'll have visibility into every corner of the business and a direct hand in shaping how we grow.
Responsibilities
Be the CEO's right hand and sparring partner, weighing in on strategy, hiring, and the big decisions that shape what Skyfall becomes
Be the swiss army operator of the company, jumping into high-impact work across finance, product, HR, engineering and business development, own it end-to-end and ship it
Be the person who makes sure nothing slips, owning priorities, follow-throughs, and communications across the leadership team
Take the messiest, most important projects and make them happen, from standing up partnerships to getting critical initiatives from 0 to 1
Identify and close operational gaps before they slow us down, from legal documents and employee contracts to onboarding and everything in between, and build the processes that scale with us
Keep the CEO informed and aligned by managing the flow of information across the organization so decisions get made fast and nothing gets lost
Be the glue between Engineering, Research, HR, Marketing and Finance, making sure every team is aligned, unblocked, and moving in the same direction
Requirements
Who You Are
You bring 3 to 4 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, an early-stage startup, or as a founder operator.
A swiss army operator and generalist at heart, you are always ready to fire on all cylinders, moving between hiring, a strategy discussion, and a people problem in the same afternoon without breaking a sweat.
You are genuinely curious about AI, deep tech, or frontier research
You operate with high emotional intelligence, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment, especially when handling sensitive information
Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
