Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
- Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) within required timeframes.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with primary care providers, care coordinators, and other healthcare team members to support integrated behavioral health care.
- Provide consultation to medical staff regarding behavioral health concerns and treatment recommendations.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and treatment options.
- Support referrals to specialty mental health, substance use services, community resources, or higher levels of care when needed.
- Adhere to all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, Rural Health Clinic requirements, and clinic policies.
- Maintain active licensure and complete all mandated continuing education.
- Uphold professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive standards of practice.

Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active Iowa state licensure required (e.g., LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent).
- Ability to obtain credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
- Strong therapeutic skills and experience working with diverse populations.
- Proficient with electronic health record systems.
