Job Description
Description:
  • Installing, configuring, and testing telecommunications systems, including hardware and cabling, to meet project or mission requirements
  • Conducting routine diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on telecommunications equipment to ensure consistent system uptime and performance
  • Preparing technical documentation, recording maintenance logs, and tracking system updates for compliance and process improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshooting complex connectivity issues, applying industry-standard practices and diagnostic tools to resolve system faults
  • Coordinating with engineers and stakeholders to integrate telecommunication systems with existing networks and technologies

Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a telecommunications mechanic role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems, ensuring compliance with DoD criteria and operational requirements
  • Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting network configurations, hardware, and telecommunications devices for secure and effective communication
  • Skilled in the operation of diagnostic tools (e.g., spectrum analyzers and multimeters) to identify and resolve telecommunications issues
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance


Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with VoIP, secure communications systems, or fiber optics technologies
  • Experience using network monitoring and configuration tools to optimize system performance and improve service availability
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols, such as TCP/IP, SIP, or VoLTE
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, working in team environments to implement upgrades or system enhancements seamlessly


Clearance Information:

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
